Corrected age
Calculate age on:
- Time since birth
- Time subtracted
- Calculated 40-week date
The selected date is at least two years after birth. This is arithmetic only; ask your child’s healthcare professional whether age correction still applies.
Two ways to count the same days
Corrected age subtracts the time between birth and 40 weeks of pregnancy from time since birth. We count whole calendar days, then show weeks and days. Months are not treated as four weeks.
A number, not a developmental assessment
For babies born before 37 weeks. The AAP describes corrected age as useful for developmental context during the first two years. This tool does not assess milestones or set feeding, vaccination or treatment dates. Ask your child’s healthcare professional about any concerns.
