Tracking feeds for twins without mixing up the records
Give each baby a clear record, agree who logs each event and use written labels that also work on a black-and-white printout.
Start every entry with the baby's identity
When two babies need care close together, the last bottle is an incomplete description. A feed belongs to one baby's record even when the other baby also feeds around the same time. Keep the baby's label beside the event, not only in a note at the top of the day.
Choose labels every caregiver recognizes. Color can help, but keep a written name or label too, so the record still makes sense in black and white or to someone who cannot distinguish the colors.
Keep simultaneous events separate
If both babies nurse together, record each baby's session in that baby's record. Do not copy a bottle amount or diaper observation from one baby to the other because the events happened close together. Mark uncertainty where a start or finish was not recorded.
The worksheet uses separate baby labels on each row. It does not combine daily milk amounts or suggest that the babies should follow the same feeding schedule.
Check the selected baby before saving
Nuzzle supports separate records for multiple babies. Before starting a timer or recording a bottle, check which baby is selected. Agree who will save each event so a second caregiver does not add the same feed again.
At a handoff, name the baby, the last known event and any missing information. If an entry is corrected later, make clear which baby's record changed.

Two babies, separate event records
Write the baby's label on every row. Names are added only to your own paper or spreadsheet; this website does not ask you to enter them.
On a small screen, scroll the blank table horizontally. The printout includes the whole table.
| Baby label | Date and time | Event | Amount or duration and unit | Recorded by | Missing details or correction |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
- One event, one baby's record.
- Use written labels as well as any colors.
- Agree who records each event before handing over.
Questions to keep beside the record
- Which baby's record is selected?
- Who has already saved this event?
- What is still approximate or not recorded?
This sheet records observations. It does not set feeding amounts, schedules or a medical plan. For questions about your baby's health, contact your care team.
